A native of Detroit, Kori C. Fields is a freelance fashion writer, blogger, and stylist. She holds a fashion merchandising and marketing degree from The Fashion School of Kent State University. While in school Ms. Fields was actively involved in her community and co-founded MODISTA: Minority Fashion Group, an organization dedicated to giving a voice to underrepresented fashion students. She led the group to many accomplishments including traveling to New York and studying abroad. Kori has interned and volunteered for many prominent companies including LANVIN, IMG, BET, HONEY Magazine, Daisy Lewellyn, as well as Kimora Lee Simmons and Baby Phat.
Kori gained a global perspective of fashion and culture through her study abroad experiences that led her to Italy, France, England, Germany, Switzerland, as well as New York. Kori currently is the primary writer for her blog Colour By Numbr. She honed her writing skills while serving as the editor of Edge Magazine and contributing to Ambassador Magazine, StyleBlazer.com, and DivasandDorks.com. To date, she has also been featured in Marie Claire Magazine, TheNewYorkTimes.com as well as EBONY Magazine.
Colour By Numbr is my attempt to venture out and explore trends and color just as I would if I were working for a major trend and color forecasting agencies. It’s my on the job training and crash course into the world of trend forecasting.
